I started Starboard with the goal of helping small and medium-sized businesses reconnect with their brand and uncover meaningful ways to extend that connection to the clients and communities they serve.
I have always loved asking questions - especially about people. Why do we think the way we do? What pushes us to act? What emotions influence our decisions, and why? Questions like these led me to pursue my degree in Psychology so I could better understand the “why” behind our choices as people.
The more I learned, the more I realized how much I wanted to apply that knowledge in a meaningful way. I have always had a fascination with marketing and design and over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to contribute to marketing initiatives across a variety of industries, including automotive, healthcare equipment, home and construction services, real estate, retail, higher education, fitness and recreation, accessibility services, nonprofit organizations, and more to improve marketing efforts, so it was clear to me that my interests needed to come together. By combining my understanding of human behavior with thoughtful marketing strategies, I could help organizations better connect with the people they serve. Thus, Starboard Strategy was born.
Today, I am pursuing my Master’s in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing to continue strengthening my ability to support the businesses I work with. My goal is to help clients flourish through marketing strategies that are thoughtful, effective, and grounded in a strong understanding of both business and human behavior.
